Hugh has 20 years’ experience in the property sector, the majority of which has been spent providing project management and professional consultancy services to both institutional property owners and corporate occupiers.
Prior to moving to New Zealand in 2007, Hugh spent 10 years in London with leading property consultancy, Nelson Bakewell. As a Board Director he was responsible for establishing the successful Project Management team as well as having an active role in managing the Building Consultancy department. In addition to Project Management, Hugh’s areas of expertise include Dilapidations (Make Good/Reinstatement), Due Diligence and Contract Administration.
Notable Clients Hugh has worked with in the UK include AXA Real Estate Investment Management, Morley Fund Management, Standard Life, Scottish Widows Investment Partnership, DSG, Arcadia, The Royal Bank of Scotland and BSkyB. In New Zealand, amongst others, Hugh has carried out commissions for Ernst & Young, KordaMentha, Vodafone, ICBC, Kiwi Property, Goodman, Trust Management, Property for Industry, Direct Property, Smales Farm, AMP Capital and Precinct.
Hugh has an honours degree in Building Surveying and is a member of both the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the Association for Project Management.
