Health & Safety
RDW prioritises the highest standards of safety leadership on each and every project. When it comes to the health, safety and wellbeing of our team, customers and contractors, we take all possible measures to achieve zero harm.
Our safety policy is fully embedded in our business policies and processes to ensure no stone is left unturned in providing safe places to work. It’s also about attitude, education and application – we apply our industry experience and continual training to identify and minimise exposure to unsafe and unhealthy practices, therefore reducing risk and legal obligation.
Although not officially designated health and safety consultants, we have the knowledge and expertise required to assess documentation, provide oversight and most importantly know when to involve specialist health and safety consultants if required.
Nominated – Project Management Team of the Year - 2021 – Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
The Project Management Team at RDW successfully delivered the highly acclaimed new headquarters for DLA Piper Lawyers within Commercial Bay Tower. For a project to be successful a collaborative team approach is essential, especially a project that presented so many challenges. The key to project success was a trusting client, meticulous planning and dedication of the entire delivery team. This project was also the NZIA Auckland Architecture Awards, Interior Architecture Winner for 2021.
Finalist – Best Project Management Team 2020 – Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
The award recognition was in relation to RDW’s successful delivery of UBS New Zealand’s new commercial office fit out on level 27 of HSBC Tower, Auckland. The brief was to deliver a world-class fit out that reduced floor area by 30%, maintained a very high degree of privacy between rooms, provided highly efficient and attractive workspaces, the inclusion of state-of-the-art technology whilst having a strong awareness of sustainability and the environment.
Winner – Best Project Management Team 2016 – Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
The award was in recognition of the successful delivery of Five Mile Retail Centre in Queenstown (Stage 1). Rebbeck Dunn Watters were retained by our client to lead the delivery of future development stages.
Winner – Best in Industrial Category (Excellence) 2015/16 – Property Council of New Zealand.
On behalf of Goodman as Developer and Metroglass as Occupier, Rebbeck Dunn Watters Project Managed the development (15,241 sqm warehouse / 1,537 sqm office) from inception through to completion.
Winner – Best Project Management Team (Merit) 2015 – Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
The award was in recognition of the successful delivery of New Zealand’s first Topshop Topman flagship store. Rebbeck Dunn Watters were retained by our client to lead the delivery of subsequent stores including Wellington and Christchurch.
Winner – Best Project Management Team 2014 – Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
The award was in recognition of a significant seismic strengthening project to a SAP Tower – a fully occupied 29 level office building Auckland’s CBD. In addition to the strengthening project Rebbeck Dunn Watters have delivered over 15,000 sqm of refurbished office space to a variety of commercial occupiers within SAP Tower.

‘Rebbeck Dunn Watters (RDW) was appointed by Mercury to assist in securing new office premises to consolidate four offices into one. The scope of that contract included providing industry guidance on commercial and contractual negotiations, initial budget scoping and general project management. It resulted in the confirmation of our new site and Development Agreement with Mansons TCLM Ltd.
RDW’s guidance in the appointment of the wider Mercury consulting team was critical and contributed to the success of the project. The scope was defined in the project, but on many occasions, RDW went above and beyond that scope to progress the project. Their broad expertise allowed the early identification and subsequent resolution of issues as they arose.
Our business does not have particular expertise in commercial property, and RDW very capably filled that gap and provided sound professional advice to Mercury throughout. The project was completed on time, within 5% of the budget and at a level of quality that has been achieving high praise, including a nomination for the Interior Awards.
