Alec has 30 year’ experience in the property development and construction sectors and has worked on significant development schemes for both private and public sector clients in the UK, South East Asia and New Zealand.

Prior to moving to New Zealand in 2004, Alec held a number of senior roles in the UK with leading property owners and developers including BAA plc, Whitecliff Properties (owned by Lend Lease Corporation and Blue Circle plc) and Land Securities plc.

Since moving to New Zealand, Alec has held development roles with Kiwi Income Property Trust and AMP Capital Investors where he was employed as Development Director.

Notable projects that Alec has been involved in and led include Heathrow Airport’s headquarters building in London; the development of the Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Malaysia; the BBC’s new corporate headquarters campus in central London for which he was the Project Director; Sylvia Park; the Lion Brewery site redevelopment in Auckland and the development of 5 Mile Shopping Centre in Queenstown.

Alec has a degree in Estate Management and a master’s degree in Construction Project Management from the University of Manchester; he is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a Member of the Property Institute of New Zealand.
